I have upgraded my landing net several times in fishing to increase my conches for catches, however I can’t figure out what this actually applies to. I still only get 5 conches for a grey/silver fish. Any advice is appreciated!

The landing net only applies to the 6 specials (tobacco pipe, pine cone, viking helmet, etc) that give conches. If you fish 100 times per day, you should on average get 1 per day, or 5 every 5 days. A single white fish is also 5 conches. So is $750,000 worth saving catching 1 fish every 5 days? Probably not. This is a luxury item that can be pursued when money is no longer an issue.
