Leaders...

To all the discouraged Co-op Leaders out there, to those wearing the red coat, those that lead because there is a void and those that support their leaders:

Thank you.

The truth is that you are discouraged because you care, and that is the very reason you should be leading your team.

You don't need a red coat to lead a team.

Yes, what we do is hard. Farmers are very difficult to recruit. Teams are hard to keep moving in the same direction. It is hard to help those that sit on the fringes to engage.

You have discovered that leadership in the online world is not an easy or simple task. I would argue that it is more difficult then leading a team in the real world.

Know that you are not alone.

Consider joining our Facebook chat group or head over to the forum. You will see first hand you are not the only one to find this tough or rewarding. We are all in it together, both farmers and leaders.

Farmers, please take the time to thank your leaders for the time and effort they volunteer to make your co-op work. A positive comment from you can completely change their day in a way you will never know. In fact, set a reminder on your phone to thank them every so often.
