I will also give you this to think about. I grabbed it from our Facebook Page. The site is going to undergo so big changes in the next month, and it will be included in those.
This is an excerpt from a much larger post/series I am working on.
Level 40: Cafe, Meadow and Manufactory
Level 40 brings in a new supply chain to manage. From [farm] levels 40-47, new products, recipes, buildings and processes are unlocked each level (more added at level 67). The shiny thing about the cafe is you get 6 stages of rewards for achieving the daily goals, but in reality, it cost more to obtain them than they give. Some of you will challenge me on that statement, because the recipes are cheap to prepare and the rewards are sizable, but I always ask the question "what else could go in it's place?" When you start thinking that way, you will realize the cafe, meadow and manu slow your farm down and you can grow faster by skipping it and using the land and workers for more valuable buildings. An apple and goat will take the same amount of space, but generate more income than the cafe rewards, plus have a spin off bonus of materials, co-op points and market xp (player tournament).
Every 10 [farm] levels, the cafe's rewards threshold and values go up. At [farm] level 60, these now become greater than the return from an apple and goat. It is at [farm] level 67 that you begin to see the true value of the cafe and it's supply chain, when mallets are introduced to the game. Of the 6 ways to acquire mallets, 2 of the 3 feasible options require the cafe and it's supply chain. The cool thing is that at [farm] level 59, level 8 houses are unlocked, giving you room to add workers with low impact to your happiness (5 workers per 10 happiness decrease). If you can plan an expansion around this time, you can build the meadow and manu around level 59/60 and then slowly mature your recipes from level 60-70, aiming for the 4th reward, which totals ~$340k per day. (The last 2 stages are keys, and not as valuable in the grand scheme.) True magic happens when the supply chain (and some honey) starts generating 50* mallets and $540k per day at [farm] level 90. *15 from cafe and 30-40 from sushiSmart Task Book:Level 55 – save for your next expansionLevel 59 – upgrade houses to level 8. Don't unwrap till neededLevel 59+ – expand your farm and build the meadow. Stock pile olives, cocoa, vanilla, jasmine, aloe and lavender. If managers are the daily client (1 client gets double satisfaction each day) and you have the olives in stock, serve them lasagna to either reward 1 or 4. When you have a bit of a stockpile, build a manu and start processing olive oil, cocoa, vanilla, aloe and lavender. If you have enough to reach reward 1 or 4, feed them the daily client lasagna, chocolate, gift baskets, Greek salad, or lotion. If you have lots of time, athletes do enjoy bouquets, but they are labor intensive.Level 65 – start stockpiling citrus and citrus oilLevel 67 – ignore the 5 mallets at the 6th threshold. In the 'grow and process' time required to get there, you can make citrus oil and collect 20-30 mallets from sushi. Mallet acquisition efficiency is important. The 6th reward (mallets) become valuable when you can start using honey to get them, have a health resources stockpile, are low on fish fillets or hit [farm] level 80 (increases to 10).Tips:
Sweet scented oil takes more meadow time and factory time than lasagna. Ignore it.
Humus (25%) your larger meadow crops. (I use loyalty points for 50% humus for olives and citrus)
You will want you meadow to be level 4+ by level 90. When I knew managers were tomorrow, I would do the daily client then upgrade the meadow. The following day I would seaweed some olives and never miss any grow time.
The manu never “needs” to go over level 1. There may be times to upgrade if you have a sushi problem or want to manage the supply chain a little tighter.
The most efficient rewards are 1, 4 and 6. If you have the supplies, aim for 4 (or 6 level 80+). Don't stop at 2, 3 or 5. If you can't hit the next good stage, you are better off to stop and stockpile. Think in weeks, not a day.
Twists:
In December, there is a seasonal event that introduces 5 coco recipes to the cafe and requires raw cocoa. If you are below level 60, temp in a meadow and grab the cash rewards and bulldoze it when done. Takes 2.5 days to pay off the investment.
At level 67, you can make granola bars from almonds, peaches and honey (no meadow or manu required). I really don't think this is an efficient supply chain and will study it more in the future.
Keys are also used for the free range cherry and almond orchards. The caution here is that it takes a lot of keys to make them useful, and it best makes a 3rd cherry.
Wow - that is a lot of information and I truly appreciate it.

The keys are to buy chests. Personally I never used them
